Cynthia's Fudge-y Cannabrownies

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup cannabutter
2 cups sugar white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
1 cup unbleached four flour
(Optional: one cup pecans or walnuts, chopped)
(Optional: 1 tablespoon cocoa nibs)

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Line 13" x 9" pan with parchment or foil, with ends extending over sides. Brush lightly with vegetable oil, or use cooking spray
  • Microwave cannabutter in a large bowl until melted
  • Add chopped unsweetened chocolate to hot cannabutter and stir until completely melted
  • Stir in sugar, eggs, and extracts; mix well
  • Add flour and nuts if you're using them; blend in thoroughly, but don't over-mix
  • Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle cocoa nibs over the top, if you like
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes — don't overbake
  • Cool completely, then use foil handles to lift out of pan
  • Use a ruler to cut into 24 pieces

Editorial Doctor Note: The "dose" depends entirely on the strength of the cannabutter and the size of the serving. I recommend starting with half a brownie. You can "test" the strength of the cannabutter by putting a little on a cracker at bedtime. Do NOT have a brownie, however, until the next night if you do a "cracker test." Men who are not adept at recipes from scratch can make a brownie mix, but do add the vanilla and mint extracts -- it softens the "herby" taste.
